Parenting at its best.
OK, so yesterday Rowan was sleeping away in his swing. I was in the bedroom on the computer when I heard him begin to cry. I just thought he had woken up and was ready to be fed. I head out to the living room and find my poor little boy sideways in his swing. And yes, before I helped him I had to grab the camera and snap this picture. But I swear we're good parents. Please don't call CPS on us.
Yes, you are a good mom. Don't worry, it happens to everyone...especially when you have more than one to watch at a time. In answer to your question, no, I don't get much sleep. I just fit projects in whenever I get a spare moment and after they are all down for the night. My baby still wakes up about twice every night though and everyone is up by 6 am for the day. Just promise me you'll sleep as much as you can while Rowan is sleeping...it's worth it!
ReplyDeleteI think you would be considered a bad parent if you DIDN'T take a picture. That's what we are here for. Sure we'll feed and change them, but making and preserving memories...that's really what it's about.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the first in what will probably be a long line of "oopsies". That is, if you are like any other normal parent. I love that you grabbed the camera to document your first mommy mishap. Just wait til you drive somewhere only to realize he was never strapped into his carseat. That's a common one. I think you're great! Now get some sleep!
ReplyDeleteOh how cute! I do agree with Jill though, I'd remember my mom forgetting to strap on of my siblings in their car seat and me having to do it for her! LOL good luck! Miss ya three!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh - poor guy. I'd be crying too if I ended up in that position - doesn't look to comfortable. But don't worry like the others said those sort of things happen.
