#2- we eat rice pudding

Another fabulous thing we do on Christmas Eve is eat rice pudding. I love rice pudding, and I think I have this girl to thank for making this a Larson family tradition. Well, we just don't eat rice pudding for the heck of it, it's a game. There is a single almond in the rice pudding- it's skin has been removed so it is camouflaged really well. Everyone scoops up a bowl and starts eating. The goal is to get the almond - but you don't want to give it away because the fun comes when everyone keeps eating loads of rice pudding all the while accusing everyone and anyone of having the almond. Sooner or later the jig is up and someone has been caught with the almond- this past year it was Carol. So fun and so good.
What an awesome tradition! So fun; maybe we'll just do the rice pudding part with Kiddo, LOL...
ReplyDeleteThat is great! Sounds like a great time! Two of my favorite things... eating, and being sneaky! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is tooo funny, what an original idea!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! That's definitely not a tradition or game I've heard of before.
ReplyDeleteThat IS a pretty cool idea... if Chris and I tried that, I think he'd just continue eating it...
ReplyDeleteHeather my dear-
ReplyDeleteRowan sure has his momma's eyes! BIG and BEAUTIFUL!! What a handsome little guy...I love the baby arguile sweater and collared shirt...very dapper!!!
I love your traditions posts...we are performing our rendition of the Savior's birth tonight with the children...we'll see how they do. Brooklyn I am very sure will be the epitome of seriousness and Cache will probably be his rough neck self...like I said we shall see! (check future postings for the turnout!)
QUESTION: how did you get your personal signature on the blog?
p.s. love the proposal post. My "hubs" proposed on Valentines day! It was bliss for me too, except no kisses just hugs...I had mono and didn't want to share!
P.S AGAIN
ReplyDeleteMy family does the rice pudding game too. My sister in law introduced my side of the family to it years ago. her ancestors are dutch and they call it leese a la mung...that is not the spelling but that is how it sounds to me when she says it!
More things in common...GOOD TIMES!
