Let me clarify. I hate GROWING OUT bangs. The last time I had bangs and decided to grow them out, I was in the ninth grade. I think I vowed then to never again cut bangs. There always comes a day when you no longer want bangs. Then begins the long annoying process of growing the blasted things out. So for the second time (and hopefully last) in my life, I am in a hair slump because of the perma visors draped over my face. Sure, there are options and ways to get them out of your face, but I feel none of them are really working for me at this point in time. I am hating this so much, I want to cut all my hair off so I don't have to deal with it. If I did that, I am sure another post would soon follow which complained about my boy haircut, how much I hate it, and how crappy it is to grow out short hair- crappier than growing out bangs. So it seems my only option is to wait it out. However, if any of you know of some cute styles I could pull off with my current hair state, I am taking suggestions...
Hmm... I'm totally torn on bangs, too; my bangs have been a lot thinner, as far as I remember, but you could do that twisty thing with tiny clips, where you end up with rows; not sure whether you like that or not, but if anyone could pull it off, it's you! :-)
ReplyDeleteOR... with some mousse and a round brush or a curling iron, give them a little more volume in front and pull them a little to the side as you're curling them under, so that they at least make a part for you. This stuff is so hard to describe, LOL!!!
Maybe the biggest thing I'd suggest is to brush most of them back, (you could do a totally awesome shag look right now!), leaving a thinner layer in the front that will probably be easier to work with. Lots of cute headbands available; you could even re-upholster one to match Bertha! ;-) Good luck!!! :-)

no suggestions really, but don't cut it boy short... keep pulling them back, they'll grow out eventually. wait.. that not what you wanted to hear huh? sorry
ReplyDeleteYou are too fuuny. I am totally growing out my hair and bang too. They are at the BLAH stag right now and most the time I just put my hair in a short little pony and push my bangs back in a skinny headband or I leave it down and comb my bangs straight back and fasten them with bobby pins. That is if I even do my hair at all. hehe
ReplyDeleteYeah, bangs are tough... but just stick it out, and definitely use headbands and bobbypins...And I think I remember you growing those bangs out in 9th grade! Too funny...
