friends & how we met

Tamsen

Tamsen was the first friend I made when me and my family moved to Idaho when I was 5. That means we have been buddies for almost 22 years. If I remember things correctly my mom took me over to Tamsen's parent's house to see if I could use the bathroom. The bathrooms at our house were getting fixed or something. The mother's realized they had daughters that were the same age and just like that I had a new friend. Tamsen is having a baby girl in September. She is a sweet girl and I feel so lucky to have this life long friend.

Hillary

Oh Hillary. I was running for jr. class president and Hillary was running for ______? It escapes me at the moment. Anyways, I was in the locker room freaking out a bit before my speech in front of the school. Hillary came in and we just started talking. I don't know, it was strange, we just seemed to hit it off from the get-go. She is awesome. A hoot. Her baby boy is just a couple months younger then Rowan. Another goodie of a friend that I am bound to keep forever.

Amanda

Amanda and I have known each other for a long time too. This is how I remember it. My mom and her mom had gotten acquainted with each other at church. Then one day at the church me and Amanda were introduced to each other in the hallway. We went to elementary school, jr. high, and high school together, and later became roommates for a while before she got married and I jetted off to California. Her little girl, Ava, is a couple months older then Rowan.

I feel really fortunate to have such great friends. Ones who I have been friends with for a long time, and know I will continue to be friends with for the rest of my life. Some friends come and go, but I have got a handful that came and stayed!
