So we once again ATTEMPTED to take Rowan to the splash park, only to discover that it closed at 7 pm. I was thinking it closed at 8 pm and we arrived at 7 on the dot. Rats! Another attempt foiled! (Is that the right word? Foiled? Hmmm I don't know, but whatever, foiled it is.) Instead of just taking off like we did last time, we decided we better make the best of the situation and enjoy the evening together as a family. We sat in the grass and did what we do best. Took lots of pictures of Rowan. The above image was actually captured by yours truly. Jon did the coloring in photoshop. We make a great team. We have not given up on the splash park. One of these days we will enjoy it as a family. The evening was not a loss. We had a great time being outside right as the sun was setting (beautiful) and we came away with some cute pictures and a happy baby who slept very well that night.
