rowan at 13.5 months.
sorry i haven't blogged much lately. not a lot to report on. after my visit to idaho my mom and i traveled back to utah together. jon came out the back door just as we pulled the car into the driveway. he was just a wee bit excited to see his son. the first thing he did was take rowan from my arms and inspect him. he eventually gave me a kiss too, but it's apparent rowan is everyone's favorite person around here. and really, rowan did change a lot while we were away. even jon says he seems to have grown up in that one week we were gone. i agree. the night we got into idaho he decided to walk. really walk. no more crawling for this kid. if he falls down he immediately gets himself back into the standing position, and then he's off again. his drooling is back in full force. not sure why. he doesn't seem to have more teeth coming in. he's doing a lot of jibber jabber too. the latest thing he likes to repeat is, "nigh, nigh." like "night" without the "t." no, i don't think he is saying "night, night, " given that he says it whenever wherever. he is quite the control freak. he hates to be restrained. makes dipaer changing really fun! he's a biter. if you see him coming at you with mouth opened wide, watch out! you have been warned. he's a good little eater and will pretty much give anything a go. i can't promise that it stays in his mouth, but he's willing to try it. he loves elmo. it's the show i turn to when i need 20 or 30 uninterrupted minutes, because i know elmo can keep his attention for more then 5 minutes. overall he is just a sweet, good-natured, and happy boy. he's at such a fun age and jon and i have both loved watching him develop into a toddler. it's hard to believe how much growth & change happens in 13 short months!

He sure is a cutie pie. I can't believe how fast he's growing. But of course, every baby grows fast, especially when we don't see you all the time :)
ReplyDeleteIs it not crazy how fast they grow. It is like their learning just sky rockets at that age and they kind of move from looking like a baby to looking like a little kid. He is such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteYou really have such a cute boy :) Hey- I got your email and I would LOVE to do a momm'y group. I know all those girls and it sounds like tons of fun. I NEED to get out cause Craig is starting a new job and is going to be gone 7-6 everday. I seriously dont know how you do it with Jon gone a lot. So, yeah count me in and let me know details :)
