We hit up a parade on the 3rd, did nothing to celebrate the 4th of July on the 4th of July, and went to another parade today, the 5th. Today was Layton Liberty Days and we couldn't resist another parade, especially since it was in our backyard. Seriously. Last night we walked onto our back patio, opened the gate, walked 6 feet, set up our chair, and went back in side. This morning at 10:30 am (when the parade started) we walked outside, plopped down, and enjoyed the show. So convenient. And, I must say, this parade kicked N. Ogden's parade's butt. One of the bands even played Lady Ga Ga's Bad Romance. The candy was more plentiful - it was all taffy - but hey, at least I got a good handful. I didn't get any at the other parade. We didn't get bored at this one - lots of music and dancing. We followed up the parade up with lunch, and then we had to drop daddy at work. It was good morning/afternoon with my boys.

it's not hard to upstage the north ogden parade.
