The 1 special thing I did for my 2nd son's 1st birthday....

I was feeling guilty for not having thrown Sawyer a birthday party.  I started prep and planning for Rowan's 1st birthday a good month before his birthday, and with Sawyer I was thinking about what to do AFTER his birthday had come and gone.  We hadn't really planned on starting the kitchen project when we did, so poor Sawyer's birthday -his 1st at that- got pushed to the back burner.  I swear, that kid is going to get a grand party when he turns two.    Even though I didn't go all out, I did want to do something special for him for his 1st birthday.  Here is what I cam up with.
At Rowan's 1st birthday I had people dress up and have their picture taken.  I didn't want to do the exact same thing so I had people write a little message to the birthday boy.  And since I didn't actually have a party for him their were only a few people around to actually do this.

Sawyer's nickname.
I was about to put a shirt on Rowan before we took the picture, but then I thought I would go with "real Rowan."  That way when Sawyer looks back at these he'll know his brother didn't like to wear clothes.

We invited our friends to join us on Sawyer's actual birthday, and I had Susanna do it too cause Sawyer adores her.
I decided to take my chalkboard and backdrop to Montana so that great grandma and grandpa Berezay could also send Sawyer a birthday message. And mom, I don't know what I was smoking, but why didn't I have you and Tony do this for both boys this past weekend!? Seriously. Next time you come we are doing it. They might be closer to 2 and 6 when that happens, but whatever!

And since this post is already packed with pictures, I will do another post on what we did for Sawyer on his birthday, and his official smashing of the cake that took place at the end of the month at the family dinner.
