Just pics from recently....
Super bowl spread. Our friend's plan's fell through, so they ended up joining us which made the whole thing much more fun. Had they not come over, I am not sure Jon and I would have even turned on the game. We kept it pretty simple. Cold cuts with homemade rolls, veggies and dip, 7 layer dip, chips, oranges, and lots of treats! (Brownies, cookies, candy....etc)
Rowan and I had a rough day together a couple weeks ago and I was feeling like the two of us needed some alone time together to kiss and makeup. My friend watched Sawyer for about an hour before daddy could pick him up, and I took Rowan to see Walking with Dinosaurs. After the show we grabbed some pizza at Sam's club.
Since all of our previous attempts at the hair salon were major fails with Rowan, I started cutting his hair myself, but not knowing what I was doing I never went that short. I was getting tired of having to cut his hair so frequently so I had my friend Alicia from the ward come cut it. She works at a salon so she actually knows how to cut hair. Rowan did really well, and even let Alicia use her clippers.
Valentine's Day treats. I still have it easy and Rowan only needed 6 treats for his classmates. I got the cute tic-tac-toe printable off of Pinterest- of course, and we made cinnamon roll caramel popcorn for his bus drivers and teachers.
All ready to deliver the love!
And Rowan came home with all sorts of loot!
The ticket jar. To help ensure that Rowan is well behaved at school we started the ticket jar. If he comes home with four happy faces circled in his folder then he earns a tickets. Every ticket is equal to a dollar. He loves to come home and count his tickets. Rowan has been saving up and finally was ready to spend them. Friday night daddy took him to the store and Rowan picked out his prize. A Hot Wheels Shark toy. So now he's down to 0 tickets and ready to start earning more.
Poor Sawyer. At his 18 month checkup he had to get some blood taken but they were out of the finger prick kind, so he had to have a needle put in his arm. Problem was, once the needle was in no blood came out! After she fished around for a bit without luck, she took the needle out and used an "old" kind of finger prick. Course I was thinking, "Why didn't you just use the OLD kind in the first place!" Luckily Sawyer got over it fast, but man he was not happy when she was moving that needle around in his arm. Not that I blame him.
For activity days we had a Valentine's party. The girls decorated sugar cookies and made Valentines for the girls that weren't there. At the end of the activity one of the girls surprised me with a decorated cookie. She's come over to my house numerous times to hangout after school. I am glad she likes me cause apparently she's not a fan of most girls! :-)

I love picture dumps!!! Rowan is growing up and getting so big and Sawyer is too. (Although I only saw one picture of him! lol) Miss my little boys! Give them a BIG VALENTINE HUG AND KISS FROM ME!!
