Pass the Patience Please

I think not having patience is one of the worst things not to have in today's consumer junkie America. And I have none of it. I am impulsive & poor- not a good combo. Believe me, I try and find ways of justifying purchases so I can have my "want." I deserve some credit because I have been really good lately. I can't even tell you the last time I went shopping for clothes or shoes.

Ahhh shoes. I miss you.

Clothes- not so much. You never looked good on me anyway, and I think you would be especially depressing to try on with my post-baby body.

But shoes- shoes are always kind and always fit- if you get your correct size of course. Which I haven't always done because the one pair I found that was on sale was a 1/2 size too small and I decided, "I can make it work." BUT other then that scenario shoes are always kind- even if your waist is not.

I found the cutest pair of red heels at TJ Maxx today- I was strong and resisted my overwhelming desire to run them up to the register before I could talk myself out of buying them. I also resisted two home decor items I wanted to bring home. What else do I have on my long list of "wants" ?

A couch.
A house.
A new table with miss matched chairs that go together in a weird funky way.
An antique white metal bed frame.
Lots of fun stuff to decorate my walls.
Don't even get me started on all the craft ideas I have floating around in my head.
And the list goes on and on.....

What does all this mean? Easy- I NEED A JOB. Another option: never leave my house, throw out my TV, and never crack a magazine. However, the best answer to the problem: GET SOME PATIENCE. Someday I'll have all these unnecessary things when the hubs is making the big bucks. For now I just need to enjoy my "old" shoes, my maternity clothes (yes, I still can't fit into my normal pants- don't judge), and my hand-me-down furniture.

Most of all I just need to enjoy all the things that really matter:

the hubs & Rowan.
(and of course all you other crazy people that I love).

So pass the bottle of patience, cause I need a big ol' drink.
