Bell Rock

Jonathan and I kept seeing Sedona on "Arizona Highways." That is a tv program they have here that explores the state and talks about cool places to visit. Since we are only 2 hours south of Sedona we decided to travel there Saturday. Our original plan was to go to "Slide Rock." It is a beautiful swimming hole with slippery rocks that are like slides. The surrounding scenery looked amazing as well, but we did not get away early enough to go there this time. Instead we found a hiking trail with beautiful red rock surroundings. We decided that would be perfect for the time we had. After a hike up to the top of Bell Rock we ate some chicken and enjoyed being outside. On the way home we stopped for ice-cream and then hopped into the casino owned by the indians. We lost all $4 dollars! It was a very fun and exhausting day.

  3. The hike looked to be such a blast. I love hiking, the red surrounding is sure a nice change other than ye ol traditional table rock....did you feel the effects of hiking yesterday at church? I probably would have been falling asleep everywhere...sacrament....playing the piano in primary...the kids would have been like, whats wrong with Sister Waters?
