Baby Gender Predictor
Well, according to this chinese predictor calendar I found on the internet Jonathan and I will be the proud parents of a baby BOY in September. BUT, I have already been lied to by a palm reader (he said I would have twins) 4 years ago when a friend offered to pay for me to have my palm read. SO I am not counting my chickens yet. If any of you did this same thing while pregnant I would be curious to know how accurate this chinese calendar is.

ReplyDeleteWell, Chinese got it right on Nephi - that was checked after-the-fact, though, LOL. And they said this last pregnancy would be a boy, which Colby feels it was/is/whatever... some sites will break it down so you can see the percentage rather than just a boy-girl indicator, too. For whatever reason, it seems like they tend to be more accurate :-). At least in my experience ;-).
ReplyDeleteThe nice thing with that - per a former visiting teacher - is that that if you see "boy" on the ultrasound, you can be certain ;-). Things don't fall off. But they can hide on occasion, so "girl" can be tricky unless someone with a lot of experience is doing the interpreting. (There are specific things to look for for girls, too, but they're tougher to distinguish.)
Also, from a very experienced nurse - and this has held for all the ultrasounds I'm aware of - girls tend to have their legs crossed at the ankles, whereas boys tend to have their legs kind of just "out" (like guys sit when they relax) at that point in development. You'll have to let us know! :-)
