The Doctor and Eclipse

The Doctor Appointment
I went to the doctor again today-well, actually I saw the nurse practitioner. She was nice and we listened to Rowan's heartbeat-sounds good(yes, I am just going to start referring to him as Rowan since that is what Jon is doing). I got weighed of course and I am up another 5 lbs. That is a total gain of 12 lbs - but whose counting? :0) The baby has been kicking/punching a lot lately. Most of the time it is not that strong-just feels like some bubbles are popping, but there have been a couple that were pretty good- kind of tickled me and made me laugh. I can't wait until they are strong enough so Jonathan can feel.
ECLIPSE
I finished Eclipse last night- I think I stayed up until 2 in the morning finishing it because I knew I had to have it back to the library by Tuesday or Wednesday. And of course it was great, and of course I am sad it is over-well, that book, not the series. Guess I will have to find something else to read until August rolls around and I can get Breaking Dawn. Is it sad that these books make me giddy? Don't all you ladies just wish your husbands or boyfriends were vampires and felt about you the way Edward feels about Bella? No? Maybe it is just me. Anyway I picked up a book from the library called The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. If anyone has read it let me know if it is worth reading.

  2. Rowan is good, but you got me thinking it was Ian Xavier. I.X.L. I do have to admit I thought Jon was just trying to have his initals say "I'm Extra Large" but "I excel" makes sence. Although I don't think other little kids will even know his full name so they wouldn't even make fun of his initals, whatever you decide to have them be.

  3. Feeling the baby kick is so fun and amazing. Although it does get annoying when they use your bladder like a trampoline, but oh well. Forget about the scale, those things are the worst part of the appointment!

  4. If you are looking for a Stephanie Meyer fix while you wait for the next book to come out, The Host just came out this week (also written by Meyer). It sounds pretty good!

  5. I loved to feel the babys kick! One of the best things about being pregnant (well at least while they are still in the womb) So happy to see you are enjoying all the great new experiences with motherhood! Give Rowan a gramma pat for me.

  6. Glad things are going well!!! Happy (baby) feet! ;-) Didn't feel Kiddo as much as we otherwise could have (and Colby could like, never feel him), b/c of how things were set up, but it was neat for me! ;-) And I agree with Jen - forget about the scale. Eat healthy things in healthy amounts, and other than that, it's probably water (given the puffy feet), which will go away snap-snap once Baby is born :-).

  8. I've read the 13th Tale and I found it bizarre and disturbing. Completely far-fetched in my opinion. It's all based on a family with incest and insanity issues. We read it for bookgroup and a couple of the girls liked it but most of us thought it was not worth it. Hope that helps, it's just my opinion.

  10. Ill call him Rowan too, its such a cute name, and the good thing is that I cant think of anything funny that kids at school would think of to make fun of him, Rowan is a quality name.
I had my docs appt today, it went great. and I feel MUCH better. I took Val to hear the baby's heart beat, I think she thought it was my heart she was hearing, she was a sweetheart for the appt too. we get to find out the gender late June!!! I cant wait.
have a great weekend, I love you.
