Jon and I have some lovely friends, Carl & Megan, from church. About a month ago we started getting together for dinner and games one night a week. We alternate hosting duties, so this week it was our turn to cook. At a previous shindig the boys started talking about Hawaiian Haystacks and they decided they needed to be made for the next get together. So last night we got together and had them. I am glad they turned out cause I have never made them and I have not eaten them for a very long time. We topped it off with ice-cream pie and a game of Pounce. Jon hasn't played that in a very long time, so I am sure he was loving it. We have lots of fun with them and it is super fun for me and Megan cause we are both pregnant with boys! She is due July 30th and I'm due September 19th. We're really thankful to have met them- they are the only friends (our age) that we know here!Saturday, May 31, 2008

ReplyDeleteBy the way girl, you look so amazing, seriously, really beautiful. Yesterday I put on my church dress, and thought, sheesh, people are right, with your 2nd pregnancy, you really pop out so much quicker. Woah. I remember with Val you couldnt tell I was pregnant until about 6 months. Well that has changed. :) he he he.

ReplyDeletelooks like fun... as for your question regarding not your mama's craft night. once a month i host a craft night at my host open to just about everyone in the world... i send out mass emailings. we try to do different & random crafts - you know, things you wouldn't normally try on your own. basically it's just an excuse to get together, met new friends, & try some new crafts. for more info check out here:
