So I had quite the dream last night. I'll try to remember it as best I can, but you all know how it goes- you forget them so quickly no matter how bizarre they are! I dreamt I had the baby- my mom was there, my sister, my Aunt Barb and two of her daughters, April & Charmaine. Which is weird because I have not seen them (my cousins) in years! I don't really remember anything about labor and delivery- it was like all of a sudden I am in the hospital and he's been born. I was in a really large room and people kept coming in and out. All sorts of people! One girl was being trained on cleaning and she began to vacuum - I remember her getting the corners and shelving and it was really gross cause all this dust was going everywhere. Oh, I also had an elevator in my room so normal people were also coming into my room to use the elevator to get to other floors. Hospital workers were using one half of my large room to perform small procedures- like give a shot. My mom and other family members left and I was sad because I was all alone with this new baby and no husband. The baby started to cry so he WALKED over to my bed (gee my kid is a genius! Walking the day he's born!) and reached up for me. I knew I would have to breastfeed him and I got really paranoid because I had not attempted this yet and I had no privacy- cause people were coming in and out constantly! So I just sat with him on my bed and cuddled hoping these people would leave soon so I could feed him. Also in the back of my head is "Where the heck is Jonathan?" "Did nobody think to call the guy?" " I just had our first baby without my husband here!" Then I got really upset because I began to think about all the pictures we didn't take because Jon was not there with his camera. The last thing I remember is going over to a nurse who was working on the other side of my room and asking her if there would be another room I could move to tomorrow since this one had no privacy.Yep, so that was my dream. I am hoping the actual BIRTH-day goes better then that!
wowzers! What a dream! I haven't had any dreams of being even pregnant yet. That dream was pretty interesting though. I hope it goes differently (with Jon there) during the real thing. Take care!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Sounds like socialized birthing over in the UK!
ReplyDeleteMostly kidding. ;-)
At any rate, hope you recover from that dream soon - I know how those odd ones can really throw off a day! I'm sure the actual birth will go great - no public elevators in sight ;-).
sounds like a typical birth to me. parts of it at least. I doubt your baby will walk, but the breastfeeding part. on his actual "birth date" just whip it out and they'll acatter.
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow!!! What are you smoking???
ReplyDeleteJust hope I'm there to see the little Genius walking!! LOL
Oh the dreams.....I have pretty bizzare ones too, sometimes with or without the new arrivle, just last night I had one that my behind neighboor hopped over the fence and hooked up coaxle cable to our DTV dish to use our subscribtion. I yelled out the window to him that Id call the police if he doesnt knock it off, I ran around the house shutting all the windows and noticed that our house was a piece of crap, as if anyone could ram through the wall with ease. then I prepared to fight if needed, while trying to get Valerie ready to jump in the car. I kept thinking, if only Jared had left the good car everything would be okay.
ReplyDeletewhen I was pregnant with Val, I had really scary dreams that would make me scream and yell really loud while sleeping, Jar had to yell at me to wake me up. They were so scary I have forgotten them all.
Dreams are so bizzare!!!
