Our Strange Dog

Miles in the tubOK so Miles recently got a mega haircut. The only thing different this time round is that Jon did it and not the pet store around the corner. He has been acting so bizarre. He whimpers, lays in his kennel for hours, and he started off hiding in the dark bathroom, but then he discovered the bathtub and that is where he likes to go now. SO if Jon and I can't find him we look in the tub. We are hoping his weird behavior will end in a couple days. We have heard that he is acting this way possibly because he feels embarrassed my his nakedness.

  2. LOL! Maybe his rear is unaccustomed to the ventilation, too... I know our dog when I was growing up always spent a lot of time sitting after an all-over trim, LOL. Or maybe he's just staying on the lookout for any more trimmers while he's in the tub! ;-)

  3. Ok...how does he get INTO the bath tub? He looks like a small little guy, is it a run and jump type of deal?

  6. I'd hide in the tub too if my hair was that short! Actually, it does look better on Miles. Maybe the hot 3 digit weather is getting to him and it's cooler on the porcelain!

  7. Yup - sounds like he might be embarrassed. When our family had a dog when I was a teenageer - we would get her a haircut like that in the summer time - but she loved it! She would run around gleefully - I think she felt free. During the winter it would get really long (she was a Cocker Spaniel). Hopefully he will get used to it. (I think she may have been shocked after the 1st time too).

  8. I love his new dew!!! Even if he's ashamed of it right now, maybe he feels that since he's a "he/she" he was getting used to the long hair accepting he can hide under all his fur but now that he's bald he has no where to hide and since the walls of the tub are so tall (and he's so cute and small) he can hide.....
    hes adorable.

  10. When I saw this picture, I called my husband in to come look at it. He was a little disappointed it was just "a little dog" but he did admit that Miles is pretty dang cute!
