We're Having a Heat Wave

We are under an excessive heat warning for most of the week. Yesterday was 112/113- depending on the source. It is horrible. Even if you stay inside with your A/C on it feels hot. Jon and I don't run the A/C while we sleep so when I turn it on in the morning it is close to 85/90 in the apartment. And it gets hot so fast outside that it takes the A/C FOREVER to "cool" the place down. I am always asking Jon, "Is the A/C working?" cause the apartment never feels cool. The A/C can't compete with the Arizona sun. I fear this is going to be a very long miserable summer.

  1. Oh man, this sounds really bad. I am just feeling puffy and bloated for you. Maybe you could go get in the pool first thing in the morning - that way you beat the smokers and it gets you off to a somewhat cool start...?

  3. AZ is definitely not sounding like a good place to be pregnant during the summer. I was swollen yesterday, and it was only 85 here. Good luck beating the heat! And if you find any good solutions, let me know.

  4. OK - maybe leave the a/c on during the night, too... or sleep in a cool mist ;-).

On the plus side, heat is a real appetite killer, LOL! (Although that's not so good if you're taking care of Junior...)

  5. I'm sorry HEather! I kinda know how it feels, Chris and I need to keep the Temp at 75, just because of our electricity bill!! It's NOT fun outside... the dogs love taking long walks, but even after a few minutes... they start to pant.

    Stay cool-er

  6. Yuck, you should never turn off your AC, that is crazy! I am not envious in any way. Sorry you have to go through such a miserably hot summer.

  7. We feel your pain! Although we are not reaching such soaring temps yet, we will be all too soon. I was 6 months preg when we moved here in May and was 7-9 mos preg during the hottest of heat. Oh you poor soul. Your husband needs to give in and let you run the AC all night. Send an email to sweetwife. Hahaha.
