It seems so long ago...

that I peed on a stick.
Scratch that, it actually took 3 or 4 before I really believed that Jon and I were about to embark on a big adventure. Now we are officially on the 30 day countdown- could be less (and yes, it could be more, but let's not go there). I can remember when my ticker used to say 200 some odd days and I felt like the day would never arrive- well, it's arrived. I had my last 2 week appointment with the doctor today. From here on out I will now be seeing her once a week until Jon Jr. is here (and no, we are not naming him Jon....in case any of you were wondering). It's just nuts- I can't believe how close we are! And I can't believe all that I have to get done in the next 2 weeks! I hope I have enough energy to give birth when the time arrives. Speaking of having no energy- I need to go to bed. I am tired, but we'll see if I actually get any sleep- it's about that time that baby likes to wake up and do gymnastics in his cramped quarters. Be sure to cast your vote at the poll to the right!

  1. Yay! I'm so excited for you and Jon! Now that baby can pretty much come any time. I remember with my first pregnancy (and even with Garrett) that the last month is just so hard when you have to wait and wonder when it will happen. Luckily both of my kids were early by either 2 or 1 week. But they were plenty big enough.

I hope yours comes early so you can enjoy that sweet little boy that much sooner. But of course only if he's ready to come early.

  2. Just realized that you are 35 weeks. Don't want that baby to come at least until after 36 weeks :) Good luck!!!!!

  3. Very exciting! It's one of those weird things - after you have kids, you feel like it's always been that way, but at the same time, you remember very clearly what it was like before you were even pregnant, LOL. I swear time speeds up!!! And as annoying as the nighttime gymnastics are, they're a good sign! ;-)

  4. the weekly visits are just fun! But I remember nothing helped getting Valerie out of me, I often jogged to the temple and back, drank caster oil and still nothing happened. Maybe it was the cater oil that made her flip breach.
Rock on, I am so excited to see Jon Jr!!!!!

  5. Wahoo! 30 days or less! (or more, but I sincerely do not wish that on you, or anyone. except for those really skinny preggies that talk about how they love being pregnant and never got sick and never have any problems whatsoever... I wish them a 2 year pregnancy! Well, maybe not quite that long.)Oh, and btw- I was overdue with my first. boo.

  6. He's going to be here so soon. Very exciting. I hope he come early for your sake. The last few weeks are brutal. I tried everything to get labor going but both of my kids were born after their due dates. Good luck at those fun weekly visits.

  7. YAY sis! I can't wait! It does seem so long ago! You're such a beautiful woman inside and out. Your baby is going to be so handsome with both your looks! Youre gonna do just fine. You'll scrounge up the energy out of nowhere I'm sure!

  8. WOW, the big count down! Two to Three soon! I can't wait to fly down and spend some time with the 3 of you! Wish I knew exactly when little Jon Jr. was coming so I could witness his arrival but will have to settle for later.
    Love ya

  9. Heather, Chris's tongue looks better, but bad. It was more swollen a few days ago, but you can tell that it was cut! The width of his front tooth I think. He still kind of talks funny. And now... we think his ring finger is broken from the second basketball game he had the other day! Both wounds from the same sport! His finger is blue and purple and it seems that his wedding band is getting really tight! Of course, Chris WON't go the doctor...
