High sevens

That is about all I can give you from my doctor's appointment today. She said she would give me 2 1/2 dilated- but I think she was being generous. Her guess on how much the baby is weighing is high sevens. Of course I am thinking, "OK baby, you can come out now- high sevens is large enough!" She said, "You have an appointment scheduled for next week just in case right?" Grrrr.....yes I do. Perhaps this baby will not come as early as we were hoping, but maybe we'll get lucky and still have him sometime this weekend. A lot can happen over a few days right?

  1. Wow - both of these updates are farther than I ever got, LOL... nothing was happening at all (b/c Kiddo was breech... *sigh*). So I'm totally excited for you! Hope you're feeling good & just SOOO excited! :-)

  2. You're lucky you're already dilated. I wasn't until I went into labor. Hopefully the baby comes sooner than later, but that would be nice if you had one more weekend together.

The "you're fat" comment was actually from my Grandma, no less. Oh well.

  3. Go on a nice long walk...and then go on another one. :) Sometimes it really does work.

  4. As Brittney sais, go for a nice long walk, then go for another one, Ive heard that it works too. Although, I was the one running down the street to the temple and back 2 times a day and still...nothing...only dialted to 1.5. I think maybe thats why Val turned because of all the jarring on her head? So dont do the running, do the walking. Thats my plan for this one too.
Unfortunately, I think Big Bun is only in Boise, if only I could express mail a shake to you. bummer.

  5. Well sorry there wasn't more good news. But be thankful for a few more days. I know they will be the most uncomfortable ever, but they will be your last alone! My appt. is tomorrow, so I will give you an update then. Good luck with sleeping!!

  6. Sorry to say, but they told me Samantha would be a six pounder and she came out an eight pounder! Hopefully your doctor is right, but unless they do an ultrasound, they are really just guessing. Tell Jon hello for me, and sorry about his boss :( so sad.

  7. Find a staircase and walk stairs! I think that is what finally put me into labor. I am so excited for you and wish you the best! Enjoy your last days without a baby!!

  8. That's right. A lot can happen in just a day even. After I had scheduled an appointment to be induced with Garrett he ended up coming early anyway, which I was very grateful for. And he weighed 8 lb 12 oz!
My fingers are crossed for you and good luck!!

  9. PS I was cleaning my house when my contractions started. I tried doing a lot of walking and it only made me tired and caused me some aches.

  10. Try everything you want, but that baby will come when he wants to. Which could be tomorrow (lets hope!)Don't put too much trust in your doctors estimation, he could come out a pound lighter!

  11. The last couple of weeks and days are the hardest. I think all of us get it into our heads that the baby will come early, and each day they don't we feel let down. Find fun things to do to stay busy. Walking and stairs are a good idea. Make it a real workout. As far as the baby's weight goes your doc is just guessing but is probably right. Of course, they always said mine were going to be 7 or 8 and they came out looking like 3 months old. Everything will be fine. I'm getting very anxious!

  12. I agree with the person saying that walking stairs will only make you more tired and ache. The baby will come, just enjoy having time for you and your hubby to cuddle. There is one that proves to work better though, just do more than cuddle with your hubby...if you get my drift :-) Also the reflex point for "contractions" is on your heel, the akeles tendon. Just start having your hubby give you some hard foot rubs concentration on that spot. All in all baby larson will come sooner than you think. Good luck :-)

  13. You can always go 4 wheelin like I did with Scott.....Oh yeah, he was a month early! Not a good idea. Be patient, breathe, enjoy.... your peace and quiet is soon to become chaos and confusion! LOL I LOVE THIS STAGE IN MY LIFE! I can enjoy seeing you kids going through the most glorious experience a woman can have! Birthing children and raising them to be the wonderful kids that you are is awesome!
