I feel a craft streak coming on...
I wanted to get crafty this weekend. So Saturday the hubs, baby, and I hopped in the car and went to Jo-Ann Fabrics- well, I dropped the hubs off at Barnes & Noble and continued on my merry way. Upon entering the store I knew I wanted to do a Mod Podge craft. What exactly I wanted to Mod Podge was a different story. So I wandered the store hoping I would be inspired and that something would pop out at me. I found the letter section and was pleasantly surprised to find all the various individual letters $1 off. SOLD. The letters I chose were originally $2.49 but I got them for $1.49 each. I did not use the official "Mod Podge" glue- I used Elmer's glue and watered it down- the lady said it worked just as well and it was cheaper- $1.99 compared to $3.99- SOLD. Then I went to the scrap booking section and selected some sheets of paper (.29 cents each) that went well with the baby's nursery. I think I am going to add some small embellishments, but overall I am quite happy with my little project and I can't wait to find it a home (on a wall or shelf) in Rowan's room. This was my first go at Mod Podge and I have to say, I think I am addicted.
I love it. It's funny how that craft bug can hit you all of a sudden.
ReplyDeleteYay! You are turning into your mother! Very cute little project! It will look excellant in Rowans room. Keep it up. Crafting is good for what ailes you.
ReplyDeleteI love them. You'll have to post again with any embellishments. I might just have to steal your idea! I knew you wouldn't mind.
ReplyDeleteHow stinking adorable. You are like a cuter martha stewart.
ReplyDeleteAlso- I have to ask- is your spice rack in alphabetical order too, or is that my OCD taking over?
Those letters are AWESOME!!!..Love them!
ReplyDeleteAre you serious? Its that easy? I mean "mod podging". I thought it was waaaaaaaay hard thus my staying away from it.
ReplyDeleteSo all you do is get some wood, slap a picture or paper on it then put some mod podge or watered down elmers glue, and youre done? WOW, My sister in law did the most adorable VALERIE name but it was with paint (she and Jar are really good with paint and the pencil) anyway, Im totally going to do JACKSON now. Thanks to you Heather, my wonderful, amazing friend. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!
