Before & After
For those of you who did not see (or read) the post on this chair from yesterday, here is a recap. I found this gem, with a matching mate & table I might add, behind our dumpster on Monday. The whole set is in mint condition. Why someone was just going to throw it away without even trying to collect a small fee for it is beyond me. I guess I should really be grateful they chose to abandon all of it, their trash really is my treasure! I recovered the chairs in a fabric I bought at Joann Fabric for $2.45- cheap. Eventually I might paint the wood, but for now it's fine. For those of you interested in re upholstery, I have posted a step-by-step tutorial on how I recovered this chair at my new upholstery blog. Yes, I actually have a blog for re upholstery because Jonathan really wants me to continue doing it. Plus, people really seem to enjoy seeing before and after pictures, I know I do, so I figured I might as well give that new hobby of mine a space of its own. I obviously wont post as frequently on that blog (these things take time you know) but hopefully at least once a month. Go check it out. You will see that re upholstering really isn't all that hard!

What a find! I'm totally jealous and also jealous of your upholstery skills. With all your bargains have you ever heard of pinching your pennies. They have a huge following in your area. You can get tons of free cheap groceries. Let me know if you are interested and I will teach you all about it or go to pinchingyourpennies.com.
