Out with the old

Let me say this, Craigslist works, and it works fast. Jonathan and I decided to get our couch for sale on the site since we're hoping to have our "new" couch done this week. Well, the post went up around 9 pm on Sunday night, we had it sold by 9:30 pm, and we had it picked up and out of the apartment by 10 pm! We sold it to the first person who called on it, but in between them calling and driving to our place to get it, we had two more calls! Jeez! Now I really have to get my booty in gear cause we have no place to sit. That is good- even more motivation for me to work on Bertha.
Good-bye old couch. You have been good to us these past 2 1/2 years. And you were good to Wade and Kelly before that, and you were good to whomever owned you before them. Now that you are going to an apartment full of college boys I am sure your days are numbered. I am sorry you had to be replaced, but I just needed something more stylish and esthetically pleasing to the eye. Be proud and hold your cushions high, you served your purpose well.

side note: I just realized that this post title works well for today considering that Barack H. Obama has just been sworn in as the 44th president of the United States of America. Out with the old, good-bye Bush, hello Obama.

  4. so sad to see the blue couch go. too bad you didn't have the love seat, you could have made a few more bucks. how much did you end up selling it for? the college boys are the fourth owner. first it belonged to my aunt and uncle, then us, then you, now the frat boys. i do have pictures of me as a six year old on that couch, so farewell. i don't miss the couch though, so i'm sure you won't either.
