I have never been so frightened of 2 inches of plastic.
I was sitting at the computer.I knew my 3 minutes were up.
I was frozen to my chair with fear.
I forced myself to go into the bathroom.
Where a pregnancy test awaited me.
I have never been so relieved to see one line.
NEGATIVE.
Don't think I am evil for being happy that my uterus is baby free. I want more children, really, I do. I am just not ready for number 2 when number 1 is only 4 1/2 months old.
LOL! We understand, girlfriend... even those of us who'd appreciate a positive! ;-)
ReplyDeletei had a nightmare when ella was four months old that i was pregnant. really, nothing to feel guilty about. just a word of advice, protection is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteYour posts keep me laughing, Heather. It could actually be worse than having a positive... a lady in the other ward here had just celebrated her daughters first birthday (her first child) and was terribly sick. Decided to tough it out, but later in the night went to the ER and a few hours later her second daughter was born. Not joking. She didn't even realize she was pregnant! I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't heard her own mouth tell the story. I still find it difficult to believe, but she swears it is true.
ReplyDeleteMy heart skipped a beat when I saw your picture. I would freak out, too. Oh, and not to scare you, but my first test with Vivienne was negative. Walker told me to take another one a few days later (guess I was moody or something :) and it was (obviously) positive.
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that. That dang post-pregnancy irregular period/crazy horomone thing sure can cause a scare!
ReplyDeleteBeen there done that but alas I had you and I'm happy! Hope you are! Jeff was same age as Rowan! But I hope for your sake your not!
ReplyDeleteHa! Remember that anxiety feeling...the waiting...and then imagine the test is positive...and your baby is 4 months old....and then imagine having to call your mom that night and tell her....that was me 2 years ago. Yeah.
ReplyDeletePHEW!
ReplyDeleteYah, I know what you mean. I wouldn't want to be pregnant again that soon. That would be too stressful.
ReplyDeletewow!!!!...scaaaaaary!
ReplyDeleteuh huh...i love these moments. good luck, just remember there are a ton of us all going through the same thing - so big support group right? :)
ReplyDeleteYahtzee!!! I'm happy for you to have a negative as well! Strange how the same negative causes some such sadness.... timing is everything.
ReplyDeletenow that was your first warning that you need a better birth control honey!!! IUD, I'm telling you its fabulous!!!! :)
ReplyDeletehmmm... not quite time for another. Glad you saw the line.. or not seeing the line.. i guess it's line because it's not a plus! (",)
ReplyDeleteThats a wipe of the brow from me.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you are evil. Having them that close would almost be like having twins. I would feel the same as you if I were in the situation.
