No laughing matter

I really want to scream.(and cry)

I wish I could make you laugh, but I am not in a laughing mood. For good reason too, I think. My husband, while his intentions were good, messed up. And now I am in a panic. Here is the story.

The problem: No computer space on either of our computers (well, almost none.)
Solution: Buy DVD's, put all of our pictures on them, and delete them off of computers.
Jon's alternate solution that Heather wasn't fond of: Transfer all of Heather's pictures to Jon's computer and then put them on his external drive.
What Heather said to Jon: "Fine. But you better be careful and do not lose ANY of my pictures of Rowan."
Jon's reply: "I'll be careful and make sure I have everything before I start to delete things off of the computer."

Transfer takes place.

All pictures (that I had nicely organized) are now gone from my computer and somewhere on the abyss that is Jon's computer.

Last night I go to make a post.

I go searching for a folder named "newborn to 1 month." Only to discover it is GONE. Not only is that one gone, but so is the "hospital" folder. That is right, the first pictures ever taken of my son are gone. As you can imagine I am fuming. I tell Jon to get on it and find my pictures. I basically told him YOU WILL find my pictures, failure is not an option here bud. Well, he is able to retrieve SOME pictures. Last night was not a happy time in our home, and neither is this morning, as I am discovering more folders are M.I.A. The folders that I was most worried about are the ones that get lost in this stupid transfer.

So I am feeling a gamut of emotions right now.
Mostly I am mourning the lost pictures of my firstborn.
