15 mo. checkup

the stats
height: 31 inches (50%)
weight: 22 pounds (20%)
head circumference: HUGE.
(his head circumference is in the 75th percentile)

OK, so my kid has a big head. I'd like to think that means he is going to be a genius. Apparently he needs to eat more, which I find funny, because I feel like he is always eating. I guess a diet of fruit snacks and bananas isn't packing on the pounds, which is why one of my new year resolutions is to make healthy well rounded dinners 3-4 times per week. We gotta get this kid to eat his meat and potatoes!

As you can see I dragged Jon along for this appointment. I figured since he isn't working at the moment he could come along, help, and hold down the kid when he got his shots. Fair, considering I had to do that all by myself the first year of his life. Not fun. Is there anything worse then holding down a child who doesn't understand what is happening to him? He's probably thinking, "Mommy, why are you letting them do this to me? I'm a good boy." Truthfully, I don't think the shots bother him that much, it's the being restrained that this kid HATES.

He's good for another 3 months. Hopefully we can get him beefed up by his next appointment, otherwise we have to start including PediaSure in his diet.

  1. What a cute little healthy baby boy! I think he looks beefy but I'm not a Dr. Glad Jon was able to help out. Looks like he enjoyed having daddy along for the ride. I sure like his new little haircut!

  2. Big head huh? I'm afraid we'll have the same ordeal with Tristan. Anyway, glad he's doin' great.

  3. trust me, his head isn't that big. i mean, all you need to do is compare it to drew's and then it will seem small.
