17 months.

My handsome little boy.

I can't believe Rowan is 17 months today. Every photo I see of him now I just think, "Where did my baby go?" He's changed into a toddler overnight it seems. I still find him as adorable as ever, but still miss the fact that my baby isn't really a baby anymore. He's definitely made the switch to full blown toddler. Don't believe me? Come see my house at any given point in the day and you'll find toys, measuring cups, sippy cups, blankets, books, and anything else he can get his hands on strewn about the house. Thanks to him the house doesn't stay clean for long, but I sure love him. Anyways, for my records, here are some things about Rowan at 17 months.

-Says: mama, dada, nana (banana), no, and hello. (That is about all I can understand at this point)

-Will whine at me and walk away and look back at me like he's expecting me to follow him, and will continue to whine until I do follow him. He usually takes me upstairs where he then leads me to the pantry. He's smart because he knows that is where the treats and Tang are kept. Whining stops when I have given him a treat or Tang.

- Likes to eat bananas, mandarin oranges, puff pancakes, pb & J, granola bars, cereal w/out milk, potatoes, meat depending on how it's prepared, fruit snacks, licorice, and occasionally veggies if they aren't plain.

- Likes to watch pretty much anything on Nick Jr. & Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

- Likes to have books read to him now. (In the past he just wanted to destroy them & wouldn't sit still) His favorite book right now is Llama Llama Red Pajama.

-Will go to his room, get his two favorite blankets from his crib and drag them all over the house all day long.

-Will get his blankets & his favorite book and bring them to me. His way of saying, "Mom, read to me."

-Has become pretty attached to mom. He cries when I hand him off to daddy usually. He'll run to me if daddy is chasing him and grab on to my legs.

-Bounces his head when he hears music or sees kids dancing on TV.

He is just awesome, and I love him to bits. He makes me smile for so many little reasons on a daily basis. I am so glad he is in my life.

  2. He is so handsome with those big blue eyes. It's so crazy how time flies! I look at all my kids and wonder... when did they grow up like that? Did I blink or something? It's great that you are able to document all his adventures and growth in your blog and scrapping!

  7. Rowan you are stinken c-u-t-e. Jackson said up, yesterday. And now Im letting him cry himself to sleep with no pasifier and I even tossed his water bottle with whole milk and juice in it. I know he wont drink any of it, Im desperate for him to drink any of his whole milk so if he'll sneak some while Im not looking (Im not holding my breath though) then Ill be happy.
