Then I took over so Jon could go and work on his computer. And I really mean work. Like, job= work kind of work. Rowan and I headed to the kitchen to make some breakfast, and since we are running low on supplies (a grocery run is on my list of things to do today) I made my go-to breakfast when we don't have many other options. German pancakes. Fine with me, I love them and so does Rowan. (Jon still prefers cold cereal. Weird-O!) While I got breakfast ready Rowan helped me by pulling all the measuring devices out of the drawer, and then proceeded to place them on his face. Picking up and putting away measuring cups and spoons is now a daily ritual I partake in once Rowan has gone to sleep.
In other news Jon and I were thrilled to discover last night that we get the Food network channel! Ahhhhhhh! Seriously?! Have we had this the whole time?! Needless to say, we passed on the movie for some Iron Chef and Chopped. It was awesome. I know what I am doing when Rowan naps today! (I'll keep my fingers busy with a sewing project so it's not a complete waist of "baby free time." ) And since we are talking TV I might as well tell you all how completely obsessed I am with The Bachelor this season. Not just me, me and Jon. I am DYING over here since we're down to the two final girls, one of which is VIENNA! Are you kidding me?! I keep telling Jon that I will never watch that show again if Jake does not choose Tenley. Also hoping that the Biggest Loser is on this week since I didn't get my BL fix last week due to the Olympics.
OK, gotta run. Rowan and I have some grocery shopping to do.

you know i love food network, glad you discovered it!!! Chopped is an addicting show :) AH and German pancakes! I am going to try and make them this week - I remember you did a post a long time ago and I wanted to try them then but never did. I found a recipe that has apples in them - have you ever tried that?
ReplyDeletePS: love the pic of rowan and the measuring bowl! He is so cute!!!
I must admit I am glued this season too. I am scared he will choose Vienna, but I'm also thinking he may say no to both and go after Ali....AHHHH!
ReplyDeleteI don't say anything when Doug dresses the boys. It's better not to say anything sometimes. :)
If I were into the food network I'd probably weigh 300 pounds! lol
ReplyDeleteI am into the little chef YOU cook with! I can't believe how much he looks like a little boy now and not a little baby!!
Fun! Yeah Chris and I tried P90X'ing two days ago whilt baby was asleep. We got 10 minutes into to it and gave up. Tristan was screamin' (he's still sore) at the top of his lil' lungs...
ReplyDeleteGerman cakes huh? never tried them...
Oh my heck! This looks like a post I could repost on my blog with some of the outfits Mark puts on Carter! So funny!
ReplyDeleteI have also been a long time fan of the Bachelor/Bachelorette but every season I keep saying that I am not going to watch it anymore. You know he is going to pick Vienna because she is obviously the worst choice. That is why this show has been driving me crazy the last couple of seasons! I sure hope BL comes on too! I was sad that it wasn't on last week (especially since the previous episode was to be continued...)
it never ceases to amaze me what matt comes up with to put on chase. i usually have to pick out the outfits. like yesterday, i picked out a shirt and pants to put chase in for church. i got to church and discovered matt put chase in ankle socks with his church shoes. i was like, really? what blows my mind is he manages to dress HIMSELF decently, so why is it so hard to dress a child? men.
ReplyDeleteAh, The Bachelor. Don't tell anyone that Walker is more obsessed with the show than I am. We've been watching it for a while, but whenever he gets mad because the person he likes is kicked off, he vows never to watch again. Until next Monday rolls around.....
ReplyDeletejust wait until he dresses himself. it just gets worse. and then they're stubborn about changing and you don't have the energy to care. and then just wait until jon dresses a baby girl. now that will be scary.
