The birthday weekend.

My mom drove down from Idaho to spend the birthday weekend with her birthday buddy. Here is my mom with her birthday gift and her very happy grandson giving his new Buzz a ride on the Buzz 3 wheeler.

Grandma Verne and I did good when we picked out this big Buzz for Rowan. As you can see from the pictures, he.loved.it.

Saturday my mom and I were able to go to the woman's conference at the Conference Center. Jon babysat, and all was going well until Jon decided to finish painting the bathroom. Rowan decided to help. We got most of it out of the grout and carpet. In our rush to get home to rescue Jon I got pulled over. What? I had to run the yellow light so I could get to the gas station faster. I was out of gas people! Lucky for me I got away with a warning and citation. The warning was for some silly light that was out, and the citation was for still having an Arizona driver's license. Come on, it's only been a year.
Despite the hiccups, it was a great weekend. I wish my mom lived in Utah. Thanks mom!

  3. I just got school about the running the yellow light deal. I didn't know that. I was also given a warning for my DL, but it was cause we had moved... my address should have been corrected within 30 days of moving. Booo. I love the pic too! You both look great! We're glad that Rowan had a good birthday, sorry our card was late. We owe you a b-day present Rowan! love you guys!

  4. I'm impressed you only got a citation for the driver's license. I got a stinking ticket for not having my address updated after being in Pleasant View for 2 months. I'm glad Rowan and your mom had good birthdays and Seth painted our linoleum and window when we first moved to our house. You learn some lessons quickly.

  5. What an adventurous weekend. And awesome that you only got a warning and citation, not a real ticket. Next time just tell the cop he is your neighbor and it isn't neighborly to give you a ticket. See if that works. :)
