A visit from my mommy.

A couple months ago I was missing my mom and wishing I could go home and see her.  Lucky for me she was going to be coming down to SLC with some of the young women in her ward, since she is the YW president.  After attending the YW conference with them, she came and stayed with us for a few days.  I had so much fun and thoroughly enjoyed her company.  

Of course we did some sewing.  She helped me finish quilts, and since she enjoyed sewing by hand, I gladly let her do the binding and embroidery work.  She's so talented, and I love learning from her.  (If only I could remember it all!)

Her friend Tammy lives in our neighborhood.  Tammy was a bridesmaid at my mom's wedding to my dad.  They also attended beauty school together, and were roommates during that time.  Kind of crazy when they realized a few months ago how close we lives by one another!  They hadn't seen one another in years, and back in December when she was here for Christmas they reunited.  Tammy came over and visited a couple of the nights my mom was here.  I was happy to have an extra person around to help us eat the desserts we had made!

We sure had a good time.  We ate lots of yummy food, watched a couple shows, one was a documentary called Paper Clips,  you can watch it instantly on Netflix.  (I recommend it)  Mostly we just enjoyed each others company and conversation.   Already looking forward to the next time we can get together.
