car washing and grilling pizza.

Jon wanted to wash his car, and it was his idea to have Rowan help him.  Of course Rowan loved it and had a blast.  He loves to help his daddy with any project.  He kept saying, "Look mommy, wash clean!"
He seemed to favor the driver side of the car and kept washing it after daddy had rinsed it.
Think they'll wash my car next?  Maybe next weekend!
I swear Fridays make me crave pizza.  And I wanted to try my hand at grilled pizza.  Jon was a bit hesitant.  I went for it.  So glad I did.  Jon loved it.  He loved the sauce that he originally worried about being too thin too.
I went with a classic margherita pizza.  Sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil (from the garden), fresh tomatoes, and parmesan cheese.  For Jons we caramelized some onions, red peppers, and portabella mushrooms first, and then he put them on the pizza with sauce, mozzarella, bacon, and parmesan.
 Ready to eat!
Course Rowan didn't want any.  He's opposed to all things homemade.  Only a Tony's pizza is good enough for him.  Fine by me.  I gladly ate all of mine.  Maybe we'll make these every Friday night!

  2. Oh my goodness, that sounds incredible! You are going to have to teach me the ways of grilled pizza, my friend. And I can't believe Rowan didn't want any. He is missing out on the finer things of life because everything homemade (in my opinion) is better than store bought!
