Jon and I hit seven years of marriage on June 3rd. I still can't believe it's been that long. It'll be interesting to see how the seven year itch treats us!
Our anniversary was on a weekday, but I still wanted to celebrate the day-of somehow. My friend watched the kids, and I told Jon I would pick him up from work- he carpools normally. Jon is a big burger fan so I decided I would surprise him by taking him to Smashburger. My friend had mentioned that she had gone there the week before. I had never even heard of it, but figured the burger lover should try it out.
Jon of course went with some spicy concoction, and I kept it safe with a ranch bacon avocado burger. We both really liked our food so I guess it was a success!
On the way home we had to stop for gas. Jon prepaid with cash. After trying out two pumps and getting hardly any gas we just asked for the rest of our money back. I think the cashier finally figure out that the gas hadn't been delivered. Guess that is what happens when you stop at some totally random gas station in a neighborhood.
Certainly not a crazy extravagant night, but I am glad we got to do something to mark the occasion!
