Nap time turned photo-shoot

Get ready for Sawyer picture overload!  (You're welcome Grandma Vernie!)  I went to get Sawyer out of his crib after his nap one day, and he just looked so cute that I had a little impromptu photo-shoot.
Sawyer is a light sleeper.  Once he's down, you better not disturb him in anyway if you want him to stay down.  I can't even cover him up with a light blanket without him stirring.  I bought him some new warm foot pj's today because of that!  At least I know he'll be warm even if he kicks his blankets off.
I've had a harder time playing tough mommy with Sawyer in regards to getting him to sleep through the night.  Yes, he still isn't sleeping through the night at 15 months!  I just found it easier to get up and give him a bottle so he'd go back to sleep, rather than lie there and listen to him cry-and not sleep myself.  BUT, this past week I had had enough of it.  I was ready to sleep for 8 STRAIGHT hours again.  And so the mean mommy has had to man up!  It's going pretty well, and I think we'll have him sleeping through the night by next week, if not sooner!

He's a happy boy.  Sensitive and whiny at times, but mostly sweet and happy.
He's not saying a lot, but one of the new things he is saying is, "wow."  It's pretty funny when he uses it appropriately.  Like when daddy walks over to the table with a big Sam's club pizza in hand.

Sawyer isn't super cuddly.  So I love the times when he rests his head on my shoulder and chills.  It usually only lasts two seconds, but hey, I will take it.

He's a funny little guy.  He loves ladies and cell phones-er, smart phones.  Mom and dad's antique phones aren't cutting it for him anymore.
I love my little Soy-joy.  I love seeing the differences between him and his older brother.  The big one is his total lack of interest in the TV.  I don't think he has ever watched a show.  I find him in his room with the books.  I hope this doesn't change.  I hope his love for books will continue to grow.  Rowan is very much like his daddy and while he enjoys being read to, he gravitates towards all the techy stuff, and very rarely is content to just sit quietly and read.  So I have two very different boys on my hands.  Keeps things interesting.
