Festival of the Arts

Jon and I went to the Musical Festival today. Well, that is what we thought it was called but the posters said "Festival of the Arts." It was very hot (mid 80's I think) and all the food looked so good. Yes, I know what you are all thinking- if I think mid 80's is hot then there is no way I will make it through a summer in Arizona- and you are right. We just walked around for a little while and looked at the different booths- all the while being tormented by all the aromas. Finally I told Jon we had to leave cause the smell of all the food was killing me and if I could not have any of it I needed to go home and eat something.

  1. Welcome home! I can't believe your sister had her baby right after you left! I hope you don't have to wait too long before you get to see him! I loved all the pictures from your trip and the wedding. It looks like you had a great time. How's your puppy doing? I hope better! We're hopefully coming down there in 3 or 4 weeks! I'll keep you posted!

  2. Aren't smells astoundingly powerful?!?! The hungries will come and go (mostly come) while you're pregnant - I started carrying around Snickers bars (bought in bulk, of course ;-) when I was pg with our little one a few years ago - they worked pretty well (and sure tasted good) for staving off starvation while I was away from a normal meal :-). (I actually found one just a little while ago that I'd stashed in my purse way back when... didn't eat it now, of course, but I was impressed that I'd been so well-prepared ;-).

Totally understand the "hot-hot-HOT" weather thing, too; if it helps, I discovered that for me, part of it is just the sudden seasonal change from winter temps to "hot;" 50/60 degrees is uncomfortably warm up here, LOL, but we're getting used to the warmer temps again. I'm sure you'll do great! :-) Just keep your water with you! :-)
