My poor little guy

As much as he hates it I think that Miles looks cute in his "bonnet." He's slowly getting better and even managed to go down the stairs on his own today. At the beginning of the day I had to hand feed him, but in the afternoon I coaxed him into the kitchen began to hand feed him and then slipped his bonnet off- of course his first reaction was to go for his stitches, but I quickly stopped him and then cornered him so the only option he had was to eat. After he ate his food on his own I was hoping he would drink his water. He has not drank anything since we got him home. After seeing that he was not going to drink I had to use his medicine dispenser and squirt water in his mouth- once he realized it wasn't medicine he gladly drank it. The puppy dog face is really killing me and Jon- he looks and acts so miserable, but he'll be better in no time.
