Well, I made it through my first book since becoming a mom. Man, what a feat! Really, finding the time to read was hard- and I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK. Usually when I had a chance to read it was because Rowan was sleeping and that is what I wanted to do as well....I finally got this book from the library after being on a waiting list for like 2-3 months- and I only was allowed to have it for 2 weeks instead of the regular month because of the mentioned waiting list. Well, my two weeks came and went and I still was not finished- so I kept the book. Heck yes I am going to take the .25 cent fine/day to keep the book! I wasn't about to wait another 2-3 months just to finish the 100 pages I had left to read. However, in the mean time another library notified me and said that it was available for me to pick it up, so I returned one copy (ending my quarter/day fine) and got it from another library and was finally able to finish it. It was great. And now I am really ready for the movie- too bad I have nobody to go with- perhaps I can talk Jon into going to it with me with LOTS OF BRIBERY- but who am I kidding- I don't think there is anything I could bribe him with that will make him want to sit through a movie revolving around vampires and romance. Oh well, I guess if he doesn't go that means I don't need to find a babysitter.
(and yes, that is my screaming baby in the picture- but don't worry- I burrito wrapped him right after the picture was taken and he was fast asleep in no time- giving me the chance to enter this post)
good job on finishing the book with a baby. and a two dollar fine isn't too bad. good luck with more reading in the future.
ReplyDeleteI love the screaming baby picture. Especially like his cute legs.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Way to do the cost-benefit analysis, LOL!!! :-) And yes, definitely congrats on finishing it with Baby Rowan! :-)
ReplyDeleteRowan seems upset that the book is over with as well. I bet Jon will go to the movie with you, sure he will make fun of EVERYTHING in it the entire time, but at least you wouldn't go alone.
ReplyDeleteI am slowly becoming interested in the twilight books, so I might be reading them sometime. hummmmmm, dont know when though.
ReplyDeleteI love the burrito. We did that with Valerie all the time, it worked really well with her too, except she always shimmied her arms out, thus we called her hoodini Valerie.
Good work. I wish you lived in NY and i would go to the movie with you. p.s. your little one is darling.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting excited for the movie too. Wish you were back here to go with me and all the girls who will be going. I'm thinking about re-reading them. My sister in law has already read all 4 books 3 times each. But all of her kids are in school now.
ReplyDeleteLove baby Rowan! He's a cutie pie!
So funny! That picture is awesome! You HAVE to take some "me time" or you'll go crazy!
ReplyDeleteI guess I better start reading these books that everyone is so into. I won't be able to do the library thing or I might go bankrupt with late fees. It will probably take me forever to get a book read. By the way, I love Rowan's shirt. It looks vaguely familiar.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad to hear you finished. It's alot different trying to accomplish some things once a child is in the picture huh? I saw that picture and wished I was there to pick him up and snuggle him. I'm sure there is something you can bribe Jon with to make him go to the movie! Wink wink

ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for helping with my blog! That is serious tech support! I probably never could have found the time to get around to it, though I am not sure how you did. You're the best!
ReplyDeleteYes those waiting lists can take a while to get to your turn. Glad yo got to finish it.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I think any mom who read that series can understand the screaming baby pic....ooops did i just admit that in writing?!
ReplyDeleteohohoh me tooo
