Christmas Plate Project

I am getting in the Christmas spirit (I know, it's a little early) by making some Christmas crafts. I got inspired to do some silhouette plates by Irene and NieNie. The instructions came from designmom.com. They are not perfect- not sure what I did wrong- the paint is a little blotchy and streaked in spots but overall I like them. The plates I got at Savers for $1.99 (pack of 2), the silhouettes came from a font I have (santa & tree) and Karenswhimsy.com (reindeer), and the paint is from Michaels ("Pebeo" 150 scarlett red &160 tea green). I think I'll make more if I can figure out how to fix my blotchy paint problem. I think it would be fun to have a couple plates to decorate the walls for all the special holidays- so I think I'll make some for Valentine's Day next.

  1. I don't see the blotchies you are talking about, and I even blew up the picture... They look great! Up to your numerous crafts again, making the rest of us (me) feel inadequate.
