It's Friday Right?

Yes, this is me in all my morning glory. Probably did not help that last night after I showered I threw my hair on top of my head into what resembled a Sumo wrestler bun, and then fell asleep with it that way. Sadly this is what Jon comes home to most evenings unless for some reason I have to leave the house during the day. Really what is the point in changing out of my pj's when I am just going to get puked and drooled on throughout the day? Hair and make-up is pointless as well because Rowan likes me natural. I am happy it is Friday. Clearly I could use some sleep, or a hairdresser, but sleep I get. Since I have been a kind wife this week and let Jon play tennis two nights this week with his friend, yes, he has a friend, I have decided that it is only fair that he gets up with the baby tonight when he wants to eat at 12 am, 2 am, 4 am, and 6:30 am. OK, I know Jon works, brings home the bacon, and does the whole M-F 9-5 routine, which I would hate, but I work too. I am mom. Hear me roar. My job is 7 days a week 24-7. And if Jon wants to go play tennis and racquetball for 3 hours on two separate nights during the week that is fine, I only expect a small favor in return. One night of eight hour uninterrupted blissful sleep. He gets what he wants, I get what I want,win- win. I am mom. Hear me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

  1. We hear ya, I promise! :-)

Don't feel bad that you're "still" out of your ideal routine after only a few weeks - especially with #1!!! It's a whole new life/lifestyle to learn and get used to. But at 6 months or so, Kiddo's naptimes stabilized (temporarily), so I was able to have reliable work-out time and a shower, and my new Biore face wash was my "special treat," LOL. And yeah, every time I felt like putting extra effort into dressing nicely, Kiddo would be *extra*-spit-uppy. Astounding, really, how they know.

But life really was a little easier after the first few months. (At least people noticed I no longer looked like the walking dead, LOL.)

So anyway, hope things stabilize soon for you; early baby times are tough on everyone! *hugs*

  3. Valerie saw your picture and said.... "uhhh, whats that?"
Im actually surprised because she sees me every day looking almost just like you, but since I dont usually take showers until morning my mascara is smeered below my eyes.....I know I know, I really need to wash my face at night.

  4. Good girl. You definitely deserve some time! The thing I hate is that they get a change of scenery. Work for a while, then come home. We are just home, all day long, every day, FOREVER! And if we need to go to the doctor or something, we can't just "take time off work" and go. We can't ever take time off work. Okay, sorry. That is my rant for the day. But I am a fan of the pajamas all day too.

  5. I think I've discovered why you are having trouble making friends... only kidding of course! Let me tell you something, since I am home with 4 kids and no hubby, I am looking especially... lovely! I better go shave my legs and pits before Scott gets home tomorrow or he is going to think his wife has been replaced by some European chick. And no, that is not a caterpillar laying amazingly still on my forehead... I'll work on the brows too!

  6. hehe. You crack me up! I TOTALLY agree though :p I am so like you, I NEVER get ready for the day. Most the time I just live in my Pj's for like 3-days till I have to go somewhere. I feel so bad for people that just stop by and see me. They are lucky I have a bra on most the time. hehe. sorry too much info!
