at least for today, because it's EARTH day!
In celebration of Earth Day I decided to make use of some soup cans that I normally just recycle. I have been meaning to organize my sewing desk, and these soup cans came in handy, they just needing a little splash of color. Lucky for me I made a big pot of soup last night, so I had 5 cans to work with today. I ripped off the label, cleaned the inside of the cans, and recovered them with scraps of scrapbook paper. Now they have a home on my desk, and I have to say, I love them! They are functional and pretty to look at. Best of all they came from things that most people just toss - empty cans and scraps of paper. So next time you're about to toss something think about what you can turn it into instead of garbage!
