Today we celebrated daddy & his 27 years of life.
Daddy wasn't thinking, and packed up the trusty ol' Kitchen Aide mixer a week ago. Hence the store bought, frozen, Pepperidge Farm cake, which, we decided, tasted like a glorified ho-ho. We're not complaining. Who doesn't like a good ol' ho-ho now and then?
Want in on a secret? This really wasn't the exact moment Jonathan blew out the candles. He did it before I was ready with the camera, so he kindly reenacted the moment for me. What a guy.
Daddy and his boy. Rowan even got a couple bites of the cake, but all he wanted was to touch the candles. In all the other shots like this, he is doing all he can to grab the candles. All in all it was a simple birthday.Food + cake + present = a happy birthday boy.

I'm glad Jon had a good birthday. You totally could have passed that cake off as one you made. That's what I thought when I 1st saw it. Mmmm glorified ho-ho.
