Train Day.

In keeping up with "Entertain Rowan Summer 2012,"we had a field trip to the train museum today.  Of course he loved it just as much as he did the last time.  I think he crawled on every train at least two times each.  Luckily most of them he could get on by himself, but the big black one I have to help him with, which was a little interesting and difficult considering the belly I am sporting, but Rowan doesn't understand that, so up he went.

He was sad to leave, but he did MUCH better this time than when we took him a few months ago.  I think it helped that he had a five minute warning and I let him climb on all the trains one last time.  Then once we were in the car I told him about all the other things we were going to do- show daddy the train pictures, watch a choo choo movie, and make a train on paper.  He seemed happy about that, so he didn't throw a massive fit.  Relief on my part.
After seeing the trains we grabbed a bite at Cafe Rio.  He was a total pill while we were in line- and of course it was packed-but once we got outside he was a gem.  Surprisingly Rowan ate the whole quesadilla.
I decided to keep the train theme going, so after his nap we made a train complete with tracks.  Love that some toilet paper rolls can make a kid so happy.
