More of this & that.

Just some random pictures of what's been going on.
Our neighbors, the ones who's house burnt down, kept asking what we needed for the baby.  There really isn't anything we NEED since we're having another boy.  However, I did remember recently that we NEEDED a bassinet cause I like the baby to sleep in our room for the first little bit.  While my neighbor was over getting some zucchini she asked again what we needed and I told her that all we were wanting to get was a bassinet.  I certainly did not expect them to buy one for us, but that is just what they did!  She called me later that night and said she'd found one on KSL and that her husband would be picking it up and dropping it off in a couple days.  This past Saturday Dave brought it over along with a cute little outfit.  I still can't believe there's going to be a baby in it very soon!
Rowan had taken a little break from his puzzles, but recently started doing them again.  He's also obsessed with my camera and Jon's phone camera.  He always wants to take pictures.  This night he kept taking pictures of his completed puzzles, and the only way I could get my camera back was to ask him to pose with his puzzles.
I decided to do something this pregnancy that I don't even think crossed my mind when I was pregnant with Rowan.  Make some freezer meals to use after the baby arrives for when I am too lazy and tired to put much effort into cooking.  After browsing Pinterest for a bit I wrote up a grocery list and we were off.  I not only got all I needed for the freezer meals, but a few other staples, so hopefully I wont have to shop again anytime soon.  I told Jon if we ran out of anything (cereal) he was in charge of getting it.  Between shopping, prep, and cleaning up I had quite the busy nonstop afternoon/evening.
In the end I made four different dinners, plus a bag of bean burritos.  I might try to make a few more in the next week, but we don't have that much freezer space so we'll see.
Pineapple kielbasa, bean burritos, spaghetti sauce w/ beef, caribbean chicken, and bbq chicken with vegetables.
After the cooking was done I moved on to a another project I have been wanting to try.  Homemade laundry soap.  We are running low, so now was the perfect time to give it a go.  Took all this and made this....
I put it in a 5 gallon bucket and it's about half full.  Supposedly you only need about a Tbsp full per load- not sure what size load the gal I got the tutorial from was doing, but hey, here's to hoping this is good stuff that last me months.
And Rowan helping me make pancakes for lunch.  His request.  He is obsessed with them at the moment.  He wants them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  I made sure to pick up a big bag of pancake mix and two bottles of syrup while grocery shopping.  This kid should be set for a while.
