I am so happy to finally have a room done in the house- even if it is just a tiny bathroom. And yes, it's taken almost two years to accomplish this. I am just a wee bit indecisive. Finding the shelf (thank you Hobby Lobby!) finally helped me finish this room. The two things I still need to do in here are get a new light fixture and put the frame on the mirror, but other than that it's done for a while. I might get brave enough to paint the vanity one of these days, but it's not something I am in a rush to do.
We decided to put the baby in Rowan's room. Color wise it just made sense. It's also the bigger of the two rooms upstairs (minus the master) and since I'll be spending a lot of time in there with the baby, and Rowan spends more time with his toys downstairs we figured he'd be OK in a smaller room. I'm trying hard to finish Rowan's new room before the baby arrives- that includes painting his bed, desk, and dresser. Then of course there's plenty of sewing to be done, but that may have to wait.
Then of course there's the living room I am working on. I can't seem to focus on one project at a time. Obviously I am trying to make the boy's rooms the priority right now, so the living room may not get done for months, cause it also includes sewing and of course, more painting. I am really sick of painting!
And here's my darling big boy in his new church attire. Can I just tell you that Rowan in a tie kills me. This is a tie my friend made for him. She also made a matching one for his baby brother. I can't wait to get a picture of my boys in their matching ties. He wore a different tie to church today that his aunt gave him, but he stripped down to his diaper as soon as we got home and I didn't have time to get a picture.

Susanna invited me and some other girls from our mom's group to come over and make apricot jam and fruit leather since she has an apricot tree that needed to be harvested. Canning is always more fun when doing it with friends, and the process takes a lot less time with all those hands pitching in!

So cute that tie photo! And I am glad you are getting things accomplished. I know what a relief that is for you. Love the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteI think you are doing great Heather! It sounds like you are indecisive because you want to get it right the first time- nothing wrong with that. Can't beleive you only have a month to go!
