Sawyer, welcome to Idaho.

Labor Day weekend I decided to go home to Idaho so that my dad, sister, and brother could meet Sawyer, and so grandma Norton could get another baby fix.  Jon chose to stay home, so I told him he could keep Rowan.  Aren't I nice?  No really, I didn't want to travel with both boys alone since Rowan freaks when Sawyer cries, and I knew Sawyer would be crying at times, and it's not like I can just pull over anywhere along the highway to feed him.  I decided in order for me to remain somewhat sane that it would be best to have Rowan stay home with Jon.  So off we went and by Friday night Sawyer was meeting this bunch of cousins.
Sawyer with my sister's kids.  Andrew (the youngest) wanted to hold him all the time.  Even when we were driving in the car he'd say, "Can I hold the baby?"  Course I told him, "Sure, when we aren't in a moving car."  I love that even Caden, who's 14, loves to hold babies.  Sophia wanted to hold him, and he was like, "I just got him!"

Grandma and grandpa Norton.  It sure is nice to have extra hands around with a new baby.  I joked at one point that I didn't think I would be holding my son at all that weekend.  If grandma was around, nine times out of ten, she was holding the baby.
Saturday my sister, dad, and I went and had lunch where Gavin works.  I told him the waitress, who he likes, wouldn't be able to resist a man with a baby in his arms.  I do what I can as an older sister.

It was a fun weekend.  I am glad some more of my family got to meet Sawyer while he was still just a baby.  I didn't make it home to Idaho with Rowan until he was 8 months old.  My sister actually had the weekend off so I was able to spend a lot of time with her.  We attempted to get some crafting done, but her sewing machine broke midway through a project so we didn't finish.  Sawyer kept everyone around us entertained in sacrament Sunday by farting up a storm and filling his diaper.  The only hick-up in the weekend was when I ate spicy Chinese food and passed it along to Sawyer.  Needless to say, he wasn't too happy with me.  He did pretty well on the drive down, but the drive back was awesome!  I almost made it the whole way home before he wanted to eat.  Bless his little heart.  I came home to a clean house- even the living room carpet had been shampooed!  I told Jon, "I should go out of town more often."  And really I should, he hasn't cleaned since I got home!  Darn.  I knew it was too good to last.
