Family dinner & Halloween party

Jon and I hosted the family dinner this month.  Back in June when it was decided that I would host again in October I knew I wanted to make it a Halloween party.  Basically, I wanted everyone to dress up!

Erica & Aaron were a "Where's Waldo?" couple.  Mom & dad Larson were an old couple-roles reversed!

Kelly was Batman's sidekick, Robin.  Wade was dad.  And Rowan wore both of his costumes throughout the night, but this is him with the candy hand he made.

Jon and I were skeletons.  Jon threw the clown stuff on at the last minute.  He thought we were undressed as the hosts.  What can I say, I was cooking, cleaning, and prepping all day! 

I think I overheard Julie say she was the Chinese devil, but I think that was just a joke.  She looks to cute to be the devil!  And Megan was a baseball player.

Grandma was grandma, but at one point we had her cradle Wade's Craig mask- eventually giving it a bear body.  It was pretty funny.

And since it was Kelly's birthday this month we sang happy birthday and had dessert.  Course Rowan wanted to help blow out the candles.  When he saw me getting out the candles I had to explain it wasn't for his birthday, but for Aunt Kelly's.  The kid loves celebrating birthdays. 

And since things were crazy and chaotic, we didn't get individual shots of the kids, but we did get a group shot of all the cousins.  Cute bunch of chitlins! 

This party wrapped up and crazy and busy week.  I am looking forward to the slow week ahead.  I need to play catch up on house chores and hopefully I will get back to some sewing projects I didn't have time to work on this past week.
